Assorted veg fries(phodi’s)

Hello dear readers! Today I will share assorted vegetables phodi recipe.

Drumsticks(mashinga sanga)-cut into index finger size
Jackfruit(Kadgi)-cut as shown in picture
Bittergourd(karathe)-cut into round pieces
Kantola(phagil)-Cut as shown in the Picture
Green brinjals(Gulla)-cut as shown in picture

Chilly powder – as much as needed

Hing – 1 pinch

Haldi powder – 1 pinch

Besan – 1 tbsp

Salt – to taste

Rice flour – to coat the vegetable


  1. Wash and cut the veggies.
  2. Marinate it with salt, chilly powder, hing, haldi powder and besan.
  3. Dust it in rice flour and deep fry in hot oil until crisp and brown.
  4. You may also dip the marinated veggies in fine semolina and deep fry.
  5. Serve it hot.
