Chocolate cup cake

I baked these batch of cup cakes in my newly bought  Bajaj OTG last month. In fact I inaugurated with this lovely bake .And my  first attempt was a success ,so I really love my OTG. If you are a chocolate lover you will definitely love this  deadly cupcake.I adapted this recipe from Joy of baking, where she has explained step wise easily. And the picture looked so inviting I had to try these beauties. And since it is Christmas atmosphere in the air I posted it today.Wanted to post it last month itself but could not compile the recipe because of  other commitment, may be it was preserved for today.

Recipe source-Joy of baking

Ingredients:
All purpose flour(maida)-175 gms(1 1/3 cups)
Baking powder-2 tsp
Unsalted Butter-1/2 cup
Sugar-200 gms (1 cup)
Vanilla essence-2 tsp
Water-240 ml (1 cup)
Cocoa powder-50 gms (1/2 cup)
Eggs-2
Salt-1/4 tsp
Butter-1/2 tsp to grease the tray

Method:
  1. Boil the water and mix the cocoa powder, dissolve it completely, cool it and keep it aside.
  2. Take a wide mixing bowl and beat the butter until creamy.
  3. Add granulated sugar and beat it until smooth and creamy.
  4. Scrape down the sides with the spatula and add vanilla essence and mix it.
  5. Add 1 egg at a time and beat it further.
  6. Scrape down the sides whenever required and  now add the flour mixture little by little and beat until it is only incorporated.
  7. Add the cooled cocoa mixture and mix it further until smooth.
  8. Grease the muffin tray and arrange the liners, fill the muffin liners with the batter only till 2/3 .
  9. Pre heat the oven  at 190 deg for 10- 15 minutes and bake it for  16-17 minutes at 190 degC.
  10. Remove it from oven and place it on a wire rack to cool,in case you are doing frosting.

My notes:
You may preheat the oven just before you start mixing the batter.
But since I’m little slow I preheat just when the batter is about to be ready, may be when I start adding the dry ingredients,You may preheat as per your speed and need.
Pre heat is very important in bakes.
I used the electric beater to beat the batter.
Do not over bake the cupcakes or else it will become dry.
Keep checking whenever you keep anything to bake, timings and temperature always varies.
Prick at the centre of the cupcake with a toothpick to check whether it is baked.
You may also frost the cake with icing once it is cooled.
