After my first sweet post of the year I’m sure this post will compliment well . Amritsari gobi pakoda makes an excellent starter and I bet it will be a hit at any party . It goes well with the main course too. The preparation is easy peasy and most of the times I love jhatpat recipes. I had prepared this goodness in a hurry at night as usual and could not do justice with good pictures . I believe taste matters at the end . Stay tuned for interesting recipes!
Recipe adapted from : Authentic food delights
Ingredients :
Cauliflower florets – 2 cups
Onion – 2 , finely chopped
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp , finely chopped
Green chillies – 4, minced
Carom seeds/ Ajwain – a generous pinch
Ginger – 1 tbsp, grated
Cornflour – 2 tbsp
Cornmeal – 2 tbsp
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Gram flour – 4 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – to deep fry
Method:
- Take a broad mixing bowl and add all the ingredients except oil.
- Marinate it well adding few teaspoons of water to coat the gobi well.
- Heat oil and deep fry until crisp .
- Serve it hot .
