Koliwada Basa fish fry

Basa fish is a favourite of my son and myself. Especially we like Basa fish and fry from Sizzler ranch. Now we get the frozen basa fish easily in KFDC . I bought it recently and tried in Koliwada style. Of recent we also like to flavour with ajwain  for the fish marination . It gives a restaurant taste. You may prepare this recipe with other fish too. I had tried it pomfret long back . For recipe check here.

Ingredients:

Basa fish fillets – 4

Chilly powder – 2 tbsp

Besan – 3tbsp

Ajwain – 1/4 tsp

Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Garam masala powder – 1tsp

Lime – 1 full

Salt – to taste

Ingredients to coat :

Rice flour or rawa – as much as needed

Oil – to deep fry

Method:

  1.  Apply all the ingredients mentioned and marinate for few hours.
  2. Coat it with rice flour or rawa and deep fry it.
  3. Serve it hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
