Now that I have already shared the recipe of Mori Hinga Uda I will also share Mori/Shark fry recipe. Mori is a very tasty fish with full of flesh just like chicken . And it has user friendly bone too unlike other fish which has to be eaten carefully.. We can eat the tender bones too.. Usually in the traditional fry recipe we do not add ajwain but you may add since it has many benefits. The marinade is same as below for other fish too and the same masala is used for some of the vegetables too. Traditionally the masala is ground to a paste using chillies,coriander seeds,hing and tamarind. I use the shortcut method often.
Ingredients to marinate:
Shark fish – 10 slices
Kashmiri chilly powder – 2 tbsp or to taste
Hing – big pinch
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Besan – 2 tbsp approx
Ajwain – few (optional)
Salt – to taste
Rice flour or rawa – as much needed to coat the fish while frying.
Coconut oil – to deep fry
- Marinate the fish with the ingredients mentioned above adding a bit of water.
- You may also make a paste and then apply the masala to the fish.
- Heat oil.
- Coat the marinated fish with rice flour or rawa.
- Deep fry and cook it until done.
- Serve it hot.
