Hello dear readers! Happy Ugadi/ Yugadi for all those who celebrating ! Today is the new year of the g.s.b Konkani’s . We call this day as “Samsaar Padva”. Today’s day we prepare many traditional dishes.There are many other rituals too which I will share when I get to know. Technically it is my birthday too. Yes, I was born on this auspicious day. But date wise it is different. Coming back to the recipe these fritters are made with “Nendrabale kele” that is with Kerala Banana’s. Amma made this today and I shot the pictures randomly to share the recipe in the space.
Recipe and dish credit – Amma( Sumana Nayak)
Kerala banana- 2 no’s
Chilly powder – tad bit
Hing powder – 2 pinches
Besan- 1 tbsp
Salt- to taste
Rice flour – to coat
Oil – to deep fry
- Peel and cut the banana into roundels or lengthwise as in the picture.
- Don’t cut it to thin.
- Apply salt to taste, hing powder, chilly powder and besan.
- Coat it with rice flour and deep fry it.
- You may also tawa fry it.
- Serve it hot.
