Mushroom chilly

Looking for anything simple dry dish ?then you may try this version of Mushroom chilly.May be prepared in a jiffy.This is slightly South Indian style mushroom chilly.I just love easy recipes where there is no much complications.This is again as usual Santoshi’s recipe.She always comes to my rescue when I hunt for anything new and whatever she cooks my kids love it and request me to prepare the same.I prepared sandwich with the leftover mushroom chilly,so it makes a great filling for sandwich too.This dish goes well with roti and rice.



Ingredients:
Mushroom-200 g
Onions-3-4,cut lengthwise
Green chillies-2-3,slit into 2
Chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Black powder-a pinch
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Coriander leaves-2 tbsp,chopped
Salt – to taste


Method:

  1. Wash and chop the  mushroom into thin slices.
  2. Heat oil and fry onions for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add green chillies and all the powders and saute for a minute.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms,salt to taste and cook  until the mushroom shrinks.
  5. Cook until all the water is evaporated and turns dry.
  6. Off the flame,add curry leaves and close the lid and keep it for sometime.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it hot.
