Eppani chutney

Eppani leaves is a medicinal herb which has  many health benefits. It is popularly known as “Brahmi”.Consuming one leaf of Brahmi daily morning on empty stomach is a good memory booster. If added to the oil and applied to the hair it is a good supplement for the hair growth.Amma used to prepare the oil for us when we were kids…The common dish prepared by us is Eppani or Ekpani chutney. In Kannada it is known as “Ondelaga” which means single or one leaf..We grow it in our house as it is grown easily and spreads very fast .So whenever we feel like having chutney we pluck it fresh right from the garden to the kitchen. It is  also prepared on Tulasi pooja day by GSB’s.The recipe and the chutney was sponsored by my Amma.
